ABBA
(1972–1982) svéd popegyüttes. Az együttes neve a tagok keresztneveinek
első betűiből összerakott mozaikszó. 1970-ben alapította Agnetha
Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson és Anni-Frid Lyngstad
(beceneve „Frida”). 1974-ben váltak világszerte ismertté, amikor
Waterloo című dalukkal megnyerték az Eurovíziós Dalfesztivált és attól
kezdve éveken át uralták a különböző országok toplistáit. Pályafutásuk
során több mint 100 dalt jelentettek meg és kb. 350 millió lemezt adtak
el. Legnagyobb slágereik a Mamma Mia,Honey Honey, Dancing Queen, Money
Money Money, Knowing Me Knowing You, Super Trouper és a The Winner
Takes It All. Az együttes tagjai 1982 végén elhatározták, hogy szünetet

was a Swedish Eurovision Song Contest-winning pop music group active
between 1972 and 1982. Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid
Lyngstad (Frida), Agnetha Fältskog are in ABBA. They topped the charts
worldwide from the mid-1970s to the early 1980s. The name "ABBA" is an
acronym formed from the first letters of each of the group member's
given name (Agnetha, Björn, Benny, Anni-Frid). Rare 1999 UK limited
edition 54-track 27-CD single box set, features all the singles from
the decade in superb colour card picture sleeves, presented in a
